Business Development Manager DACH

As part of our continued growth in Europe, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Munich office and work closely with our Sales Director to expand our presence across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Role

This is a business development-focused role for a commercially driven professional who understands how branded environments, dealership networks and multi-site implementation projects work.

You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building long-term customer relationships and supporting the delivery of strategic projects within the DACH region.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in sectors such as:

  • Automotive Retail
  • Commercial Vehicle & Truck Networks
  • Retail Fit Out
  • Shopfitting
  • Branded Environments
  • Signage & Visual Identity
  • Construction & Interior Solutions
  • Brand Implementation
  • Corporate Real Estate & Facilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
  • Identify, develop and convert new sales opportunities.
  • Build relationships with OEMs, dealer groups, retail chains and multi-site organisations.
  • Manage and grow strategic customer accounts.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals and solutions.
  • Support tender submissions and framework agreements.
  • Work closely with Design, Project Management, Procurement and Operations teams.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of complex rollout programmes.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasts.
  • Represent Principle at customer meetings, industry events and networking activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Development, Commercial Management or Key Account Management.
  • Proven success in developing new business and managing strategic accounts.
  • Experience within automotive retail, retail construction, shopfitting, branded environments or related sectors.
  • Understanding of project-based sales and multi-site implementation programmes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Fluent German and professional English are essential.
