New Year 2026: Principle Sustainability Outlook

By Richard Butterfield, Chairman
As we move into 2026, I want to reaffirm Principle’s commitment to operating responsibly and sustainably in every market we serve. Sustainability is not a standalone initiative; it is a core obligation that guides how we work, how we make decisions, and how we shape our future as a global organization.

This past year, we advanced our work across environmental stewardship, community impact, and responsible governance. In 2026, we are strengthening that commitment by embedding clearer standards, more sustainable procurement practices, and a renewed focus on continual improvement across our global teams.
Environmental Stewardship
We will continue reducing our environmental footprint by integrating smarter material choices, responsible sourcing, and more efficient operations into every stage of our work. Protecting natural resources remains essential to the long‑term well being of our clients, colleagues, and communities.
Community Impact
With teams across continents, we are committed to contributing positively to the communities where we live and work. This year, we will further expand our efforts to support local initiatives and ensure our global teams have the frameworks and resources needed to create meaningful social impact.
Governance & Responsible Operations
Sustainable growth requires integrity, accountability, and disciplined management. In 2026, we will deepen our commitment to ethical governance, enhance our sustainability reporting, and empower every team member to uphold, and elevate our standards.
As we begin this new year, we do so with a clear sense of purpose: to operate responsibly, to lead with integrity, and to help build a more sustainable future for the generations that follow.
