New Additions to the Principle Family
As a brand implementer working across the world, we're celebrating the launch of our new website by adding to our global family. Working with the Born Free Foundation, we’ve adopted a family of giraffes in Africa.
When Principle's current brand identity was created we introduced our friendly giraffe, known affectionately as Eric. We're often asked what Eric represents. Well, the far-seeing giraffe illustrates Principle's exceptional vision. He symbolises our ability to understand the bigger picture for our clients and like us, he has an extremely large heart (the average giraffe’s heart weighs around 11kg and measures about 62cm in length… that's BIG)!
To help celebrate the launch of the new Principle website in 2011, we're proud to announce that Eric now has real, live relatives! With the help of the charitable Born Free Foundation, we have adopted our very own giraffe family who live on Africa's great plains.
As a global organisation, we felt it fitting that we support Born Free's fabulous charitable work to protect endangered species across the world. Giraffes are under threat, both in captivity where they are exploited in zoos and circuses, and in the wild. Wild giraffes have been extensively hunted for their meat, but today it is the loss of suitable habitat that most threatens their survival. Born Free moves giraffe families from areas of conflict to safe new homes.
The Born Free Foundation also protects lions, elephants, tigers, gorillas, wolves, polar bears, dolphins, marine turtles and many more species in their natural habitats. It works with local communities to help people and wildlife live together without conflict. Its high-profile campaigns change public attitudes, persuade decision-makers and get results, helping hundreds of thousands of animals across the world every year.
Principle is delighted to work in partnership with Born Free, supporting Eric’s magnificent relatives on the African savanna.
